Who we are

The Site Post (“we”, “the paper”) is a UK construction classifieds board. We are the data controller for the personal information described below. Contact: the editorial desk via the email address shown in the site footer.

What we collect and why

When you reply to a notice — name, phone, email, experience summary and optional certificates. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) UK GDPR). We pass these details to the poster of the notice so they can contact you — that is the whole point of the coupon.

When you place a notice — the advert content and your contact details. Lawful basis: contract and legitimate interest in running the board.

Job alerts — trade, area and email, used only to send the alerts you asked for. Lawful basis: consent; unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.

Analytics — privacy-friendly, aggregate statistics only, and only if you allow them in the cookie notice.

Retention

Applications are deleted 6 months after submission. Closed notices are archived or removed 12 months after closing. Alert subscriptions live until you unsubscribe.

Sharing

Applications go to the relevant poster. We use processors for email delivery and hosting (UK/EU data residency where available). We never sell personal data and never run third-party advertising trackers.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your data, and may complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk). Write to the desk and we will respond within one month.

Questions? Write to the desk — see contact details. Drafted for launch; to be reviewed by a solicitor.
